Possibly, French/European origin, this brass/copper metal jewelry box has six raised decorative relief sculpture panels.Weighing about 3 pounds & measuring about 7" x 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" the panels appear to represent the 1500/1600 period with dancing, entertainment, party & horse soldiers figures. The dress appears to be Dutch/Flemish influence. The top panel lid is firmly attached, but, there is a separation on two thirds of the backside.Also, there are 2 top rim slightly b...ent corners.Original surface patina.The interior blue lined satin lining is in fair condition, but, has multiple pin holes on the interior top lid lining.The interior liner in tact, but, has a scattering of light scuff marks.The true beauty of this vintage piece are the six panels.The sculptured figures & scenes are to be appreciated & observed.
