Offered here is a gem of an American country fiddle 4/4 Violin, in my opinion, which bears no label. It is ideal for country music, but could be used for Jazz, Blues, or Classical. This violin has no real problems at all meaning NO CRACKS! There are the usual scuffs and scrapes to the varnish one would expect from a violin this age.The wood is excellent fine grain spruce on the table (top) and choice bird's eye maple on the ribs, back, neck. I estimate the violin was made in or a...round 1920, way down South in Dixie. Violin shops in the USA might retail this violin for more than $800. I have appraised violins for State Farm for over 45 years and this violin is really worth $800. The violin is sold as is and as pictured.
