For sale is an all original non-restored example of most likely WW1 era sword baldric shoulder belt as was worn by Officers of the Seaforth Highlanders of Britain and Canada with their full dress uniform. While I'm fairly knowledgeable in this general area, I'm no expert, so please make efforts to research more about this form of sword shoulder belt before bidding. The plate is made of buff leather with various integral metal buckles and fixtures. The images should speak for themselves.... The shoulder plate used to secure the belt together across the chest is being sold separately. I have included and image of it along with one of an officer in full dress to show how the belt was worn. That said, virtually and highland style shoulder plate would work with this belt. The belt is excellent condition for its age with almost no wear. I'm happy to send more images if required. While slightly curved the main cross-belt portions of the belt when laid out flat measure about 135 cm or about 53" in length and is about 8 cm or 3 1/4 " across. It weighs 354 grams before packaging. This belt comes from what was an almost complete full dress uniform grouping which is also for sale at this time on ebay so please check my other auctions as many hard to find related items of regalia are also available.
