This bronze, like many of this particular design does not have the peak of the roof which once served as a lid.The "Grand Tour" was a trip through Europe, typicallyundertaken by young men, which begun in the 17th century and went through tothe mid-19th. ... The Grand Tour was seen as an educational... tripacross Europe, usually starting in Dover England, and would see young, wealthytravellers search for arts and culture.Round marble base has numerous chips and was cracked and repaired. The Bronze is in fabulous condition with a rich dark patina.
