S&W, NY Vintage WW II Military Brass Compass (Owned By A POW)

Up for your consideration is a vintage, World War II S&W (Schwab & Wuischpard) New York, brass compass.  This compass belonged to a deceased uncle who was a Prisoner of War during World War II in Austria. His family is selling his estate since there are not any children to leave it to. The compass is brass, with a glass cover and is marked S&W NY inside. On the outside of the cover is stamped US. The compass opens when the button on top is pressed and opens nicely.... The circle at the top is for fastening to a watch fob or chain. The compass measures from top of circle to bottom- 2 1/2 inches. The compass has been well used and has normal scratches and marks for this period. Use your zoom to look closely at all pictures.
