CHELSEA8.5 INCH 24 HOUR BLACK DIAL MILITARY CLOCK Offered for sale is a Chelsea8.5-inch dial military clock with the black 24-hour dial.  I bought a collection of clocks and thisclock was in that group.  I brought theclock home and wound it up and it has now been running for several days withoutissue.  Still, the clock is in anas-found condition and needs to be properly serviced to be considered to be areliable runner.  Chelsea does this attheir factory or I can pro...vide you with the name of a man I know that does thistype of work.The original serial number on theback of the clock was 734055.  Thisserial number was crossed out and replaced with serial number 755278.  This later serial number is also the numberon the movement.  This number indicatesthat the clock was made around 1970.  The1970 date is also stamped into the back of the movement as well.  Pictures of both numbers and the date areprovided.  The back-flange measures 10.25inches, the clock comes with a proper fitting key and will be double-boxed toproperly protect it during shipping. Shipping will be $24 via USPS Priority Mail.  Thank you for looking at my auction
