Atari Mega STE Computer, Keyboard, Mouse - 4MB RAM/40MB HDD/FPU/TOS 2.06.
This is a loaded Atari Mega STE originally from a recording studio. It appears to have a very low serial number (see photos). It has the PAL and a Motorola 68882 FPU installed as well as TOS 2.06 (US). It has a Conner Peripherals 40MB SCSI hard drive that booted right up in my testing. It also has a 720k floppy drive that successfully formatted a diskette and copied a file but was otherwise untested.
...It comes with a functioning keyboard (originally qwertz) and an aftermarket Logitech Atari mouse that feels much nicer than the original. The computer and keyboard and mouse passed the Atari Diagnostics (see photos). It ran continuous diagnostics overnight without issue.
The case has some physical damage (see photos) but it doesn’t appear to impact functionality. The only other issue I notice is that the power and hard drive activity LEDs don’t light up. Again, none of these impact usability or performance.
This computer was manufactured in 1990 or 1991. This is a very old, very vintage, very uncommon computer. It is a collectible first and foremost. It will be very well packed, double-boxed, and insured which is why shipping costs what it does.
