The most wonderful antique purse...marked inside frame made in France...from the early 1900's...the fabric is a fine Aubusson petit point tapestry with courting lovers in a French scene on the front and a French scene on the back with a brook and trees...the work is exquisite...the brass frame is magnificent with a ribbon and leaf design adorned with an amethyst colored stone...silk lining inside...in nice condition over all...there are a few places on the tapestry where there have bee...n a few old repairs and a couple of places that need repairs as shown in photos...I'm sure this could be fixed by a skilled seamstress...the frame is in great condition with the push pin opening at the top in good working order...the silk lining is in good condition...the bag itself measures about 8" by 7 1/2" and is about 12" long with the chain...such a gorgeous work of art to add to any collection!
