~PLEASE SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR OTHER VINTAGE & ANTIQUE DOLLS~Wonderful antique cloth doll of actor "Anton Lang". About 20". Tag inside of his coat. Hand-written history note was tucked inside his suspenders. Please google the internet for a full history of the man Anton Lang & the Oberammergau Passion Play performance that began in 1634 & has been performed on a regular basis since then. Lot of interesting information can be read on Wikipedia. In 2020, the 42nd performance of this Passion Play will take place. Anton Lang was the actor of Christ in 1922. This doll, depicting Anton Lang, has a beautiful & very expressive molded & hand-painted face. Yarn hair & beard. Wears traditional woolen clothes. Removable jacket has an attached tag written in German. (Last photo shows some other dolls that I will be listing this week. Please see my other auctions if you are interested in them - they are not included in this auction. This auction is only for the single doll shown in all of the other photos.)(Please understand that I am not able to ship any items until the week-end following payment during the school year.
