I recently transferred my old band tapes to digital and I really have no more interest in this machine. It served me well. It was great hearing the guys again but I am getting on in years having just turned 70 and I need to start sharing these great pieces of audio gear I have used in my time.We have no pets. We are not smokers. I do have a number of blank tapes I can include. (I was asked for a picture so I added one. They are factory sealed)Due diligence:This machine was well ke...pt but it is time for it's service. I noticed a speed flutter. In the past that meant the belt had stretched but you will need to have it looked at. Somewhere along the line the headphone dial has gone missing. It still functions of course but perfection is gone with that missing. There is a small bit of duct tape residue on the back. One top corner has a quarter inch blemish. It is a 40 year old machine, well maintained, rarely used, in very good condition, but, it is sold without warranty or refund.
I prefer local pickup in the northern Illinois area. I may even consider a day trip to deliver it. Otherwise I will take it to UPS or FedEx for packaging and charge what they charge me.I know you will enjoy the sounds of this machine.
FedEx seems to be the least expensive option. I did the calculation and it was about $55. Others were $65 and $118 to San Francisco as a random city. Add packaging costs of about $40 from FedEx.
