Illustrated by Charles Edward Hooper. 16 of the 18 full-page illustrations present, lacking the illustrations at page 169 and page 215. Published by the Macmillan Company, New York, 1903. Measures 5.25" x 7.75", 131 pages with two additional pages of publisher's advertisements. Bound in publisher's original green cloth with dogsled panorama in three panels on the cover. Pict...orial endpapers. The book is in fair condition. Wear to the spine and boards with bumped corners. Previous owner's signature in ink on the front endpaper with ink and pencil notations and underlining throughout the textblock. Moisture stain to the margins of pages 112-153, sometimes creeping into the text. Scattered soiling throughout the textblock. The binding is starting.
