This is a vintage 33" Madame Alexander Barbara-Jane RARE "Penny" doll. She is in very nice condition. I am not an expert on Madame Alexander dolls by any means...I believe that Penny was made in 1951, one year only, and is a harder to find doll. She looks as if she was NEVER played with, just so very stunning...from her head to her toes. The necklace did leave a greenish-blue discoloration around her neck in places. I have removed the neck...lace when I purchased her from an antique store. (I would love to keep her, however, I do not have the room for such a large doll). Penny comes with a paper hang tag and curlers. She is very clean and free from any odors. (I did not remover her clothing as I do not want to ruin anything trying to re-dress her). I have peeked under her dress and she looks nice. Penny is made of soft vinyl with a stuffed (cloth) body.
She will come with a very nice doll stand!
