GUARANTEED!) ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ Blind Faith'sfirst and last album, more than 50 years old and counting, remains one of the jewels of the Eric Clapton, SteveWinwood, and Ginger Baker catalogs, despite the crash-and-burn history of theband itself, which scarcely lasted six months. As much a follow-up to Traffic'sself-titled second album as it is to Cream's final output, it merges thesoulful blues of the former with the heavy riffing and outsized song lengths ofthe latter for a very compelling sound unique to this band. Not all of it works-- between the virtuoso electric blues of "Had to Cry Today, " theacoustic-textured "Can't Find My Way Home, " the soaring"Presence of the Lord" (Eric Clapton's one contribution here as asongwriter, and the first great song he ever authored) and "Sea ofJoy, " the band doesn't do much with the Buddy Holly song "Well AllRight"; and Ginger Baker's "Do What You Like" was a little weakto take up 15 minutes of space on an LP that might have been better used for ashorter drum solo and more songs. Unfortunately, the group was never thattogether as a band and evidently had just the 42 minutes of new music hereready to tour behind. It issomewhere between VG++ and NEAR MINT, just a notch below NEAR MINT. Afew light abrasions ARE visible, but they are extremely shallow, superficial and only moderatelyvisually distracting (nothing significant).For the most part, the vinyl looksimpeccable without any MAJOR visual flaws or imperfections. Much of theoriginal luster is intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new. (b) The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, whichwas usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound onsuch thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do notexpect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording! (c) White Promo Label version of this title is much rarer that a regular, commercially released, version of this title. We estimate that stock copies ofthis album outnumber promo copies by a ratio of at least 100:1. (d) The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve. (e) Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!! · THE COVER COVER IS STRONG NEAR MINT, STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP The following flaws orimperfections are noted on the cover: - Cover has a partially split bottom seam (less than 1 inch /2.5 centimeters); This split seam was delicately taped by the previous ownerwith a piece of transparent scotch tape - Cover has a light "wrinkle" (crease) in one of the corners.
