Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a 1950's era Atlas microphone floor stand (model MS-12C) that has a two tier "waterfall" deco design cast iron (10 inch wide) base and a two piece retractable chrome stem Made in Brooklyn, NY. Pic # 2 shows the model and it's basic characteristics. This stand would compliment any microphone from about the 1930's to the 1950's due to its classic deco styling but ...it's not to say you can't use it with any modern mic as well. The chrome on both upper and lower stems shows very little wear as seen in the pics provided. The original Atlas logo on the stem is long gone but the base shows it was made in Brooklyn, NY. The action clutch holds the two stems in place nicely and the stand is adjustable from 34 inches low to a high of 62 inches tall if needed? The cast iron base has new silver / gray paint and it's quite beautiful with zero wear. The original paint was in really rough shape and the base absolutely needed to be refinished. The bottom of the cast iron base shows typical lite rust stains but overall very nice looking. The 3 felt pads are well worn as seen in the pics provided. Overall this stand is an easy 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. It's extra heavy as well and less prone to tipping. As with all my vintage microphones and stands... I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy.
