Hello and welcome to the House of Chrome. You are looking at a rarer and unique find. A 1950's era Snyder floor stand with cast iron three tier waterfall design for any vintage microphone you wish to display it with. This deco inspired stand measures from 33 inches low to 62 inches tall. Made during the 1950's and 60's in Philadelphia, PA. The Snyder was one of the last American microphone stand manufactur...ers to compete against Atlas and Snyder only lasted until about the mid or late 1960's until they finally went under. You rarely come across these floor stands though the desk stands are more common. This is the first generation floor stand with the small chrome accent piece that sits between the chrome pole and the base. The later generation stands did not come with those. The chrome accent piece is in very nice shape with zero dings or corrosion. The black paint is in very nice overall condition as seen in the pics provided with typical lite wear in the form of scuff marks. The chrome upper stem looks pretty darn good but the bottom stem shows heavier wear with some lite pitting at the very bottom. There are zero rust stains on the bottom of the base which is always a bonus. The cast iron base is 10 inches wide. The locking clutch mechanism works perfectly. It should be noted that the original floor pads were missing so I professional tapped a drilled 3 holes into the base and included 3 new Atlas rubber "bumper" pads. They do an excellent job of keeping the cast iron base from scratching any surface it may rest on. You'll really appreciate these pads over the older ones. As with all of my vintage microphones and stands... If you have any regrets whatsoever...I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy.
