The stone here is actually a Mother of Pearl button that's been dyed blue. The buttons have been around for at least 40 years and I made these earrings in 80's so I think the color will remain true for however long you have them. I meant these be look like a little man and woman laying on the beach with a big moon in the back. Plus that song "Blue Moon" adds romance, even if you don't know the words.
