Beautiful scalloped edge porcelain dinner sized cabinet plate. Nicely decorated with a hand painted central scene of the Chateau De Chambord with a strolling couple in historical costume. With gold gilding around the central scene. With a border of dark Celeste Blue with gold gilt floral scrollwork. Marked on the reverse with a pseudo Sevres blue overglaze double L mark. With the name Chateau De Bloi...s in red above the mark. Circa 1860 to 1870s.
The Château de Chambord at Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France is a French Renaissance architecture and was constructed by King Francis I of France.
Has some minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures 10 1/8 inches wide.
