The cyma curve apron on this stool follows the Queen Anne style-- simplified for this practical piece. Wedged through-tenons decorate the top along with the worn carrying hole.
From a family farm, this found its way into a Maine auction last summer.

Few early American working stools have survived the hard daily use given them over the years and this one, constructed with fine carpentry skill and great care, must have become a treasured, old family friend.
Note the superb patina, the gentle, worn curves, and how smooth the wood is.
Please examine my photos for condition. You'll see missing parts of the apron on one side and cracks in the top.
I would not use this as a stool, but, in its well-earned retirement, it would still draw admiration as a fine display or serving as a pedestal for a potted plant.
