Great content in this letter written December 20, 1880 by William Caton, a merchant and Indian Trader in Cheyenne, Wyoming Territory and sent back to Will County, Illinois (near Joliet) to his father (also named William). Caton says his trading agency is doing well, selling lots of furs and pelts, he rents a small cabin with attached stables, hopes to start investing in cattle, met someone selling whiskey and more.
