Description: Up for sale is abeautiful Adams Ironstone Calyx Ware Singapore Bird (Newer Backstamp) Single (1)Four (4) Cup Teapot & Lid. At the time this listing was created, many placesettings, extra pieces, and serving pieces were available in this pattern aswell as many other brands and patterns, so be sure and check out my many otherlots! The teapot measures approximately 5.125” in height and has a pastel greenbase with a multi-color floral and bird pattern. The set has been d...iscontinuedand a date of manufacture is unknown. Most pieces in the set are marked withthe following backstamp: “Calyx Ware, Real English Ironstone, Adams, Made inEngland, Established 1657, Singapore Bird” with other pieces having a slightvariation of that backstamp.
Condition: Please notethat the Teapot is NOT “like new” and shows signs of use and age and has asmall paint chip on the spout as is highlighted in the photos; however, no additionalchips or cracks were noticed upon a careful examination. Additionally, thepiece shows some light utensil and cleaning scratching/swirling to the glazeand paint. Some very light areas of missing paint due to these light scratchesis also present. A few minor manufacturing defects are also present (mainlyminor imperfections to the glaze). Lastly, the piece may show some very minor fadingto the blue/green base color in some areas due to age and use. Overallthough, I do not feel that the condition of the piece has been severelycompromised.
