Very nice qual...ity genuine 120+ year old example, (definitely not a modern re-production); a nice oval locket with a hinged side opening and decorated with flowers and geometric engraving. It hangs from its genuine antique silver belcher link chain with secure spring bolt catch. There are no added personal engraved monograms and it weighs approx 25 grams. Measurements Good size, the locket measures approx 1.75 inches (44mm) in length, (including attachment ring), x 1.1 inches (27mm) wide. The silver chain/collar measures 18.1 inches (460mm) in length.Date English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver, unmarked on the locket which is quite usual with these genuine antique examples, the attachment ring is hallmarked with a lion passant silver stamp. 100% guaranteed antique silver and dates from around 1890. The silver chain is also unmarked and is also antique silver.Condition Good condition and ready to be worn. The locket has no repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, the side hinge works fine and it opens and closes securely. No interior perspex glass, could be easily replaced if wanted. The silver chain is in great condition and a good length and the spring bolt catch works perfectly. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions.
