Original Description:
This auction is for an old collection specimen of top quality pink limb cast from the South Fork of the Crooked River in Central Oregon and it displays a few delicate, intricate and colorful green mossy inclusions in highly translucent host agate! The pink fortification agate cast is very large and displays some excellent exterior growth characteristics preserved from the original wood impression are preserved in a blue chalcedony. From my understanding, the entire limb cast producing ...area along the South Fork of the Crooked River has been disc plowed by local residents utilizing tractors and there are no more specimens to be had. I sure do not see specimens this size anymore! The fossil wood cast has an all natural, non-cut exterior and weighs 4lb 9.0 ounces. The vintage limb cast measures 130mm by 180mm by 85mm. All pictures taken with the specimen wet excluding the final two photos which show the agate dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
