Original Description:
A fine late 17th century Dutch Colonial brass candlestick made in Indonesia based on the Heemskerk model. Round base with nicely turned baluster stem above and below the large drip tray, and tall candle cup with iron pricket spike leaded in. The top part of the candlestick screws together with the bottom with extremely coarse hand-cut threads to secure the drip pan. It's very heavy and measures 12 1/4" to the top of the candle cup, a whopping 16 1/2" to the top of the spike. It's in su...perb condition with no damages or repairs. A wonderful and impressive example.
