Southwestern Native American turquoise Sterling silver leather bow-guard or ketoh bracelet, stamped STERLING, and hallmarked CARSON B, by Navajo artist CARSON BLACKGOAT. This outstanding bracelet showcases a traditional design crafted in repousse and stamp work, and adorned by a single sky-blue stone, set in a serrated bezel, in the center of the main silver plate. Two long stamped silver plate appliques were added to the sides of the main silver plate. The silver panel sits on a thick... leather cuff that measures just over 3 3/4" in width, and about 7 1/2" around the inside measured from the leather ties to the holes on the other end. The center silver plate is roughly 3 1/2" tall by 2 7/8" wide. The stone is 13/16" by 9/16", from bezel to bezel. The side panels are approximately 3" tall by 3/4" wide. This ketoh is just shy of 100.5 grams. Superb craftsmanship. Note: A couple of similar pieces by the same artist are selling for over $700 at other online stores.
