Printed in Edinburgh at the Apollo Press by the Martins Anno 1776. Also contains Paradise Lost and Regained, Comus, L'Allegro, Il Penseroso, Arcades, Lycidas and Poems upon several occasions, Sonnets, Psalms, Elegies and Odes etc. 'Of Man's firft difobedience, and the fruit Of that forbidden Tree, whofe mortal taft...e Brought death into the world and all our woe.' Each contains decorated half title page. Volume 1 contains portrait and engraving. 240/228/216 and 216 pages. 3.25 x 5 inches. Marking and wear to covers and spine with covering worn from edges. Ink inscriptions to end-papers, damp staining to back of frontis engraving, some tears/folds to page edges. Pencil note to two pages of Vol 1, tear to title page and the odd ink mark.
