Bound in hardcover cloth, well worn, possibly recased at some point, m though not recently, with more modern leather spine title plate added. Lacks the front endpaper. Inner hinge reinforced. Notable for the wonderful colour plates of various dishes, as well as line drawings, throughout. 1296pp plus a section of ads to the rear. Block with some scattered foxing spots, a few corner folds, one ad leaf with a closed tear. S...ize 13 x 18.5cm. Classic Victorian volume of household advice and cooking recipes. The most famous English domestic manual ever published, it was essentially a guide to running a Victorian household. Overall condition is Good/None.
