This is a beautiful bronze statue 6.5" wide by 19.5" high, at the hand. Weighs just over 16 lbs.I checked auction records for Leon Pilet I found a few for different bronzes. One sold at Sotheby's for $6, 875.One at Liveauctioneers for $10, 000.Bonhams $1232.It was much smaller...Léon Pilet was a French visual artist who was born in 1836. Numerous works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'The Water Carrier; The Falconer' sold at Christie's New York 'Orientalist Art...' in 2006 for $7, 200.
