Here is a stunning and rare Art Deco modernisitc greyhound dog bronze metal statue or bookend on marble base from San Francisco Estate. Circa 1920's. This awesome deco dog could be a greyhound or whippet type dog, He is truly exquisite! Just can't capture his true beauty with the camera. His head is bent down, one leg is stretched in front of him, and he is licking his leg while showing his tongue. He has a wonderful geometric style and excellent detail.&...nbsp; The overall measurement is 7-1/2" tall, 5" long, and 3-1/2" wide. This beautiful dog is made of a heavy metal with a golden bronze finish - a magnet will not stick to him. The base is made of white marble or alabaster material. There are no signatures or manufacture marks that we could find, but he is quality. His golden finish looks a lot a Ronson work of art, but we don't know for sure. The condition of the this deco greyhound is amazingly very good - shows some wear but no chips, breaks, or repairs. The estimated value was $250.00 according to the estate. Our reserve is only $95.00. This fabulous deco greyhound came from an estate in San Francisco, and is quality. He has a great look - very modernistic and unique. Pictures don't do him justice.
