You are looking at ceremonial prayer “four winds”style pipe bowl made from genuine pipestone which was quarried from the sacred pipestone quarries at Pipestone National Monument located near by. the decorative rings on the top of the bowl giving it the “four winds” style are to honor each of the directions. North, South, East, and WestThe bowl itself measures 6 long and stands 3-1/2 inches tall. The stem alone measures 18 inches long connected with the pipe the total length is ...right around 23-1/2 inches long. The bowl is gorgeous bottom layer pipestone. The bowl is basically a solid deep through out the entire pipe with smaller lighter colored speckles. Please Refer to the pictures for finer details. The pipe is drilled straight and has a tight seal of pipe to stem also giving it an excellent draw.It is new, will be fully functional, has never been used or blessed. It would also make a fine addition to any personal collection should the buyer decide not to use it as a functional pipe. The stem is made from Made from aromatic cedar it is sanded smooth and rubbed with an oil to high light the natural beauty of the wood grain. The stem is beaded with dyed deer hide leather fringes and a Random assortment of many different colored beads.I have signed the pipe “Loud Thunder” as that is my given Indian name. I am a 5th generation pipe maker.
