This item is a clean Australian made Coleman 249 kerosene pressure lantern, made in Sydney under license to Coleman Canada, and dated 7/50. The nickel is aged but worn, there are two tiny dents to the tank, one between the filler and the lever, and another very small one to the lower left of the filler. It is hard to see. The steel bottom of the tank was rusted, it had been left on the ground for some time. I cleaned off the rust, prepped the steel and repainted with hammer metal steel... paint for better protection. The collar and the frame are good, most of the original nickel is still on the frame, but the hood has rusted, probably from neglect, there are plenty of chips on top, no rust holes. Replacement US made globe, new seals fitted, burns very good as shown.
