Original Description:
Large French Petite Sonnerie quarter hour repeating carriage clock @ 1890 with original winding key. This is a very nice one owner clock that came out of an estate recently, where it was maintained and in regular use. All beveled glasses are original and good. The extremely high quality and detailed case has an untouched original well worn patina which looks great, but could be polished if desired. Great original porcelain dials are perfect with no damage. ... Great original hands. The 8 day hour quarter hour repeating movement runs good and keeps excellent time with its original platform escapement, but it is sold without any warranty due to shipping. Movement runs strong. Strikes Petite Sonnerie on the quarter, half and three quarter hours, and Grande Sonnerie on the hour. Grande Sonnerie is struck any time the repeat button on top is pushed. Has a Sonnerie/Silence lever on the bottom of the clock. Dimensions are: 6 3/4" tall with the handle up x 3 3/4" wide x 3 3/8" deep. Weighs in at 4 1/4 pounds.
