This auction is for a Lovely Antique Blue Transferware Ironstone Plate made in the early to mid 1800s by W. Adams of Staffordshire England in the company’s hard to find Columbia pattern.
The pattern depicts a Classic Romantic Era Garden scene in Blue Transferware with people in period dress and buildings and trees in the background with a floral and vine border design.
The plate measures 8 5/8 inches across and is in Very Good condition, especially for its age. There are no chi...ps or cracks. It has under-glaze crazing as expected from ironstone of this era. It only adds to the character and authenticity of the plate.
The plate has a blue W. Adams backstamp with the pattern name.
I am selling many other Staffordshire and transferware items and will combine shipping whenever possible.
