For your bidding pleasure today and possible purchase if youare the winner a very nice pristine bisque figurine depicting a man embracing alady both of whom are elegantly dressed. He has a bird on his hat and shefeatures abundant flowing hair. Are they saying goodbye? Standing on a rockwith a seashell.... maybe! The detail like so many of this period is incredible.Please observe the photos as my description really can never illustrate them aswell as, I hope, the photos do. Courting cou...ple? Two good friends? Husband andwife? They are in excellent condition top to bottom with no dings or chips orrepairs or missing parts. Consigned from a major southern California collectorwho has given them a smoke free environmentally controlled home for over fortyyears they are being sold with no reserve. As the photos illustrate they areliterally excellent.They stand 18 inches tall and the bases average 10 inches indiameter. This is a really heavy piece. I observe no Trademarks and do not know who made this wonderfulpiece. The consignor, a major collector, says they are pre 1900.Buyer pays shipping which will be in a new 200 lb rated box and clean new recyclable peanuts and will be insured.
