I am offering this Antique, Primitive Handmade copper and brass bucket/kettle. I am calling it Middle Eastern, however I am not positive of its origin. It is a beautiful and interesting piece, all original in a nice patina. It is hand hammered with large applied ornate decoration each in its own panel. It has 3 brass paw feet, and the handle has a scalloped edge, with hand copper rivets holding the ornate hinges along each side. It is 15" tall from the fee...t to the top of the handle. (9" from feet to rim) x 8 1/2" opening at the top. The entire body is copper with the feet, handle and hinges out of brass. There is one indentation, on the very bottom underside of the body, there is also a slit in the bottom side of the body as well. (looks like a sharp object went through it)This bucket/kettle could have been used for ashes, ice or possibly coal. It would make a great planter. This is a very interesting handsome Antique bucket/kettle.Thanks for viewing.
