This rare 1910s Canadian "Irving" litho hinged 25 humidor cigar tin, 8 1/4" x 4 7/8" x 1 1/4", measuring is in excellent condition with some small dents, some superficial rust on the interior bottom seams and some age related paint scratches and chips. The hinge is in excellent working order. There is a partial tax stamp. This very attractive polychrome tin features two detailed portraits. The exterior lid has a faux mosaic relief with an image of Edward P...rice of Wales, the future king of Great Britain. The interior lid has a portrait of Henry Irving, the famous English actor, best known for his portrayal of Faust. The cigars were manufactured by J. Hirsch & Sons, Ltd., Montreal, Canada in Factory 34, I. R. D. 17.
