This rare 1910 "Gold Shore" litho hinged lunch pail tobacco tin, measuring 4 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 6 7/8", is in fair condition with some small indents and a crease on the lid, some small superficial interior rust spots, and some age related paint scratches and chips. The handles and hinge are in excellent working order. There is complete union stamp and a fragment of tax stamp. This striking white tin with red and gold lettering was made by the American Can Company, Baltim...ore. MD. It features a trademark image of Pegasus in flight with the Greek Hero, Bellerophon, riding him while holding a "Gold Shore" banner. The tobacco was manufactured by Jno. J. Bagley & Company, Detroit, MI in Factory 6, 1st District, MI.
