A fabulous Jessie M King brooch, carrying so many of her trademark touches. This brooch was made by her, probably for Liberty & Co, who she produced pieces for. It dates to c1910. Her work is incredibly collectable, not only her jewellery but her art work too. Definitely one to keep!
It is stamped on the reverse as silver. It is such a delightful, organic piece, which is beautiful in its hand worked design. I love the twisted, elongated rectangular framework which has a ...circular section around the pearl central feature. The pearl's setting is finely millegrained.
On each side of the pearl are two groups of four turquoise enamel leaves, typical of King's leaf work, both in design and colour. It is an extremely romantic piece of work.
It has a pin and C clasp and is in good working order. It measures approx. 3.7cm in length by approx. 1.6 cm wide.
In lovely condition and I am sure it will be cherished by its new owner. A fabulous piece of Arts and Crafts work by a highly collectable designer.
