This is a Japanese sword wakizashi in mountings. The blade is unsigned o-suriage, shinogi-zukuri shape, Edo period ca.1600 era made blade. The blade is in old polish, no rust and in good condition. The temper line is wavy chusuguba with konie active temper and has deep temper at the point. The forging grain ...is itame-hada, no opening, no blister and no forging flaws. There is no bend, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is urushi lacquered wood scabbard, no dents, no crack and in good condition. The handle is tight fit with nanako-ji shakudo fuchi/kashira, tsuka-ito wrapping is no cut no loose and in good condition. Tsuba is marugata shape iron sukashi tsuba with nice patina. It measures 18+1/4" cutting edge, 1" width, 4.5 mm thickness at the notch and 27+1/2" in mountings. Shipping is $20 priority in U.S. Payment due with in 3 days auction end.
