VERY RARE Early 20th Century Edwardian-1920s FRENCH Hand-Embroidered SCENIC PETIT POINT Bag, Exquisite Needlepoint of a Pair of Parrots or Lovebirds Swinging on a Branch surrounded by Roses and Flowers with Lattice. The Frame of the Purse appears to be perhaps Lapis (not sure), it looks like an organic Stone overshot with metallic gold, Capped and Cinched with Gilt Filigree Findings. Measures 6X7″ excluding the Wrist Strap. Both sides are identical. Lined in Gold Silk (the same silk ...lines the inside of the handle) with an interior ruched pocket. Tight Snap Hasp which releases by lifting up the lapis bar at front. Outstanding Condition, No stains or spots, No loose or missing stitches. No stains to the lining.
