Original Description:
Up for auction is a very old, hollow-carved, tackeye Hen Bluebill attributed to Chris Smith, founder of the Chris Craft Boat company in Algonac, Michigan, ca. 1890s.  This early warrior has multiple coats of early hunters’ paint that shows a pleasing craculature. This only adds to its appeal. There is paint loss to the wood in a few areas.  The form, with the head set back on the body accentuating its large, sloped  breast, is just outstanding. &nbs...p;Measures 14-3/4” long; 5-3/4” wide; and 6-1/4” tall.  Please ask questions or for more photos.  Shipping includes insurance and is higher outside of the USA.   Thanks for looking.
