For sale is an authentic example of a WW1 era British or Canadian Seaforth Highlander officers kilt. This very heavy weight wool kilt has been hung to strip in the military fashion with the pleats being folded and set to the elaborate box-pleat style. The kilt is largely free of damage though there are a couple of small pencil tip size holes as shown in the images above. Some of the stitching that secures the liner has also come loose over the long life of this... kilt, which considering its age is very well preserved. There is also one small area of loose stitching at the back of the kilt. Someone has clearly moved the buckles at some point but these can be set back to a more logical place. The fabric along the upper edge has worn in spots. Laid out flat the kilt measures 140 cm or 55" along its top edge. The kilt hangs 67 cm or 26 1/2". The pictures should speak for themselves but I'm happy to send more if so required. Before packaging this kilt weighs 1.75 kg. This kilt comes from what was an almost complete full dress uniform grouping which is also for sale at this time on ebay so please check my other auctions as many hard to find related items of regalia are also available.
