The definitive book on pastry jiggers is by Michael Finlay (Pastry Jiggers and Pastry Prints, published 2014). Finlay illustrates jiggers of this general type on pages 11-13 and p. 22ff. This example measures a shade over 4 inches long and has a revolving wh...eel at one end for cutting pastry to make pies and a 'fish-tail' shape at the other for crimping the edge of the pies. Jiggers of this type are difficult to date precisely so we have put it in a fairly wide date range.
The condition is fabulous with only minor historical wear and all the parts work perfectly. If you love to collect early culinary items this is a keeper! Good luck and thanks for bidding! NO RESERVE.
