17 Skulls held together with a hand that has a wire going through it to make the hook clasp. No point in trying to sugar coat this though I do think some of the skulls look like they are smiling. Please note that each skull is carved by hand so each varies in shape. They are all natural so the color varies and you can see some of the original bone structure inside. A distinctive piece for sure.
Handmade in my studio in the 80's but this necklace was never worn. This... used to be sold in museum stores like The Whitney and SFMOMA, boutiques like Barneys and Fred Segal, and small craft stores.
Hand carved bone beads each about 1" long by 3/4" diameter.
Strung on a sterling silver chain (sturdy) with handmade clasp all in silver.
18" long - will sit at base of neck due to thickness of skulls.
Grid photo has 1/4" squares
