Up for auction is neat, hollow-carved Michigan Drake Redhead made by Hayes Finkle of Weale, MI near the Saginaw Bay, ca. early 1900s. The decoy is in a mix of original and old hunter’s paint that closely follows the original paint pattern. This decoy exhibits great bill carving detail and classic Saginaw Bay area form. It retains its original glass eyes. It does have a tight age check on the left side and there is some separation between the 1” bott...om board and the body. It shows rubs to the end of the tail from use. Measures 14-1/2” long; 5-3/4” wide; and 7” tall. Please ask questions or for more pictures.
