We are offering a most interesting WW II aviator's flight log book which records the flying activity of 2nd Lieut. Robert H. Potts who flew with Marine Scout Bombing Squadron 244 in the Philippines during WW II. This manuscript flight log details Potts' activities between September of 1943 and May of 1946. It appears that his flight training took place in Texas and his eventual military flight activity was concentrated in the Pacific. In October of 1945 he has made a notation, "exhibit...ion flight for Jap surrender." After that there are several references to patrol flights over Tsingtao, China etc. There are approximately 50+ pages which are filled in - in the log. This is an interesting record of military flight in World War II and deserving of further research. Lt. Potts was a 1942 graduate of The Haverford School, attended Yale and went on to a successful career in banking. The book is printed brown cloth and measures 7 x 4 1/2 inches and is in very good condition. Shipping Anywhere In The United States Media Mail $6; International Shipping $35.
