Book & Boards Condition Details
There is no writing or inscriptions inside or out as the text is very clean other than a bit of a moisture stain to the top edge corner near spine of the last ten pages or so, not too bad though (see picture #9).
Cover colors and illustrations are bright with just slight fading to the spine and very top edge of boards that can only be seen on edge not front or back.
There is some rubbing and bumping to the covers, and some tiny chipping to back top edge.A couple of shallow line dents to the front cover near the top.
The page edges are in nice shape with no dog-eared or bent pages.
There is some edge wear present throughout.The corners have some bumping/rubbing and minor chipping.There is inward curling/wrinkling at the top and bottom edges of the spine wrap, and a very small shallow dent to the spine (zoom picture #3).Some separation is beginning between the wrap and spine of the book and can be seen at the edge of the inside front cover page, and this has given the top board a slight forward lean, but there are no loose or missing pages as the binding is still holding and it stands on its own.
The pages have some yellowing from age.
As you can see from the pictures and description, the book is in pretty good condition overall, but is definitely not without some flaws as illustrated above without the dust jacket and is priced accordingly.
The book will be very carefully packed for shipping, placed in a sealed protective sleeve, bubble wrapped and securely boxed to ship out within one business day including most Saturdays.
This book will make a great addition to any HP Fan seeking an early true 1st Edition of The Philosopher's Stone for their collection without breaking the bank!
