Dust Jacket Condition Details
Jacket is not price-clipped.
All lettering and illustration colors are crisp and bright with no sun fading.
There are no stains to the jacket inside or out.There are no scratches, tears or scuffs to the jacket, and just very minor rubbing.
There is minimal edge wear present.The corners wrapping the boards are in nice shape with minor bumping.
The inside dust flap corners are sharp.The only real condition issue with this copy is that there was a pretty big dent along the back center edge of the spine (zoom picture #'s 2, 3, 5).Overall, this jacket is in very good condition with the dent along edge of spine being the exception.
Book & Boards Condition Details
Binding feels unread.There is no writing or inscriptions inside or out as the text is very clean.
Cover colors and illustrations are bright with no fading.
Virtually no rubbing to the covers, and no scuffs or scratches.
The page edges are perfect and very white for age.
There is minor edge wear and some mild bumping to the corners.There is a dent to the back edge of the spine just as with the jacket (zoom picture #'s 8 & 9).
The corners are in a great shape.
Some separation beginning with the wrap and spine of the book which is pretty typical with these books, but there are no loose or missing pages as the binding is still strong and it stands easily on its own, and the binding actually feels unread.
The pages are clean with virtually no yellowing from age.
As you can see from the pictures and description, the book is in very good condition overall, but unfortunate that it has the dent to the back edge of the spine as it would otherwise be a "Near Fine" copy.
The book will be very carefully packed for shipping, placed in a sealed protective sleeve, double bubble wrapped and securely boxed to ship out within one business day.
This book will make a great addition to any HP Fan seeking a very early true 1st Edition of The Philosopher's Stone for their collection!
