Early 19th C. English or American Folding Knife, Pre-Civil War Era. Very early folder, most likely to date from the gold rush era. Having a strong clip-point blade struck on one side with maker's name "W. Peniston". With its large steel bolsters and original cattle bone grips. Likely 1830s-1850s.
