You are bidding on an early Lenci child model # 149 in need of lots of tender loving care!
She is 16” tall and has the most plaintive, woebegone look on her face. Her side-glancing brown eyes give her the soulfu...l and endearing look that Lenci dolls are known for. She has a hard-stuffed cloth torso, tab jointed felt arms and legs and is completely poseable.
Her face, torso and limbs are extremely stained and dirty and she's obviously also having a very "bad hair day."
She is wearing only her original onesie and needs a complete new wardrobe.
Condition: This little urchin looks like she just took a tumble in a mud puddle. She was obviously well-loved, so much so that she's lost all her clothing. She reminds me of a young Eliza Doolittle badly in need of a makeover!
This hard-to-find Lenci is still adorable and just needs a ton of new loving to make her presentable again. She would be a real challenge for a serious Lenci restorer.
