You are looking at personal prayer horse head effigy peace pipe bowl made from genuine pipestone which was quarried from the sacred pipestone quarries at Pipestone National Monument located near by. The bowl itself measures 4” long and stands 3-1/8 inches tall. The stem measures 9 inches long connected with the pipe the total length is right around 12 inches long. The bowl is gorgeous bottom layer pipestone. The bowl is basically a solid deep dark red through out the entire pipe with... the exception of a few lighter spots through out the pipe. These spots are partially cool because I think they make the horse look like a painted horse. The pipe is drilled straight and has a tight seal of pipe to stem also giving it an excellent draw. It is new, will be fully functional, never been used or blessed. It would also make a fine addition to any personal collection should the buyer decide not to use it as a functional pipe. The bowl is reemed to allow for plenty of tobacco to be placed with in.The stem is made from California redwood. it is sanded smooth and rubbed with an oil to high light the natural wood Beauty. This stem is beaded using dyed black deer hide leather fringes and an assortment of random colored beads.I have signed the pipe “Loud Thunder” as that is my given Indian name. I am a 5th generation pipe maker.
